You need GTIN on your products to, among other things, be able to safely identify the specific product and create traceability throughout the supply chain. Since GTIN is applied to a product during manufacture, and there are rules for when a product requires a new GTIN, it is possible to identify the product in the supply chain and throughout the product’s life cycle.
