The decision to use GTIN as an identifier in the construction industry was made in April 2018. Just over three years after the decision in principle, we can state that it is still not possible to obtain traceability in the supply chain, due to GTIN not being used to a sufficient extent.
We want to be able to use GTIN to, among other things, search for information in e.g. different databases. In order to do this effectively, there needs to be a unique item number on the product.
