Generate numbers in MyGS1

Generate numbers is a web service that helps you create GTIN-13, GTIN-14, GLN, SSCC and GSIN. The service both produces numbers and calculates the check digit.

This is a service for those who subscribe to GS1 Company Prefix and you can find it in our customer portal MyGS1.

Generate GTIN-13 and GLN

  1. Company prefix – Choose which company prefix you want to use. If you subscribe to only one company prefix, select this.
  2. First sequence number – Select where in the number series you want to start from.
  3. Amount of numbers – Enter the amount of numbers you want to export.
  4. Select if you want to allocate and create drafts.*
  5. When all fields are filled in, click Export to Excel.
  6. Now you have an Excel file with your numbers.

* When you allocate the numbers you have exported, they are saved as drafts in My products. This helps you keep track of which numbers you have exported and ensures that the same numbers aren’t generated again. You can then add product information to the exported GTINs later.
