BarcodeCheck is GS1 Sweden’s service for checking that your barcodes and pallet labels comply with GS1 standards, and are readable according to international specifications (ISO/IEC 15416 and GS1 General Specifications).
2. Target audience and users
The service is aimed at manufacturers and suppliers who want to verify that a barcode works at all stages, as well as logistics and distribution companies that need to ensure correct labeling for efficient flow of goods.
3. Service content
BarcodeCheck includes:
Checking the legibility, content and quality of the barcode.
Verification against GS1 standards and ISO/IEC 15416 (linear symbols) and ISO/IEC 15415 (2D symbols).
Performance report describing any errors, probable causes and proposed actions.
Barcodes for products, outer packaging and packages can be checked.
4. Usage
You order BarcodeCheck in MyGS1. Fill in the order form and send it together with barcodes and pallet labels to GS1 Sweden at the address provided. You will receive a report with results and recommendations within ten days.
