ESAP 20.1 Delivery flow updated to version 1.8

On Friday, March 31, the new specification and process guide for version 1.8 of ESAP 20.1 Retail supply chain was published. The version update is compatible with version 1.7 and includes some new features and changes.

From version 1.8 onwards, it is possible, if the parties agree, to dispatch the inbound SSCC on a transport unit. For various reasons, shippers and receivers want to optimize their shipments and be able to link information on inbound items to their own SSCC number. Can be applied for example if a transport unit contains several SSCC labeled inbound packages going to different customers or if there is a need to keep a stack of low pallets together which in turn contain different items. Read more about this possibility in the process description and sample message.
