Department/function: A department is a specific function within an organisation such as the reception, the invoice reception, or the marketing department.
Fixed physical location: A physical location is a tangible place that can be referred to by means of an address or coordinates; for example an office, warehouse or construction site.
Digital location: A digital location is an electronic location that is used for communication between computer systems, for example an IP address or EDI gateway.
Mobile physical location: A mobile physical location is a physical location that is expected to move, for example a shipping vessel or a mobile blood donation van.
