New training initiative to help retailers with digital product passports

A new training initiative will help retailers work practically with digital product passports. Behind the initiative is AI Sweden together with GS1 Sweden, Svensk Handel, Sigma Technology Insight Solutions, Smartr, Halmstad University and 4plusventures. The goal is to provide companies with support in how to move from manual handling to more structured work with product data.

Digital product passports are becoming part of everyday life for traders. As new EU requirements are now being applied, the challenge is less and less about understanding the regulatory framework and more about how companies create working practices and structures for product information that can be used, shared and further developed.

In 2026, the training will be tested with a number of pilot companies in the retail sector. Do you want to become a pilot company, receive coaching and test the training?
