Jonatan Tullberg appointed new CEO of GS1 Sweden

Jonatan Tullberg from Coop, will take over as new CEO of GS1 Sweden from ca 10 January 2021. He has extensive management experience from the grocery industry as Commercial Director, as well as previous senior positions in the FMCG industry.

I am very pleased with the choice of Jonatan Tullberg for GS1 Sweden. He is an inspiring leader with broad commercial experience in the grocery industry. His experience from both the retailer and manufacturer sides of the business is a strong platform for the GS1 CEO role, says Magnus Håkansson, Chairman of the Board of GS1 Sweden.

For the past six years, Jonatan Tullberg, 42, has worked as Sales Director for the retailer Coop Sverige AB, and was also responsible for the development of Coop’s private brands. He has previously held commercial positions at Unilever and Procter & Gamble, among others.

My years at Coop have been exciting and rich in experience, and I look forward to continue working with the grocery industry with a new range of opportunities. When I was offered the position as the new CEO of GS1 Sweden, it felt like a natural next step for me and a challenge I simply could not refuse, says Jonatan Tullberg.

Jonatan Tullberg will succeed Mattias Rosenlund, who has been acting CEO since the change of CEO in May 2020. Mattias Rosenlund is also Chief Commercial Officer for GS1 Sweden and will continue in this role. GS1 Sweden is owned by the industry organizations Dagligvaruleverantörerna (DLF) and Svensk Dagligvaruhandel (SvDH).

– GS1 Sweden has an important role for all industries who use our global standards, and GS1 standards are vital, especially for the grocery industry and its digitalisation. Jonatan will focus on continuing the growth and development journey that GS1 Sweden has already begun, and on leading the organization towards an even stronger customer orientation, adds Magnus Håkansson.

Jonatan Tullberg will leave Coop no later than November 1, 2020 and take up the role as CEO of GS1 Sweden around January 10, 2021.
