GS1 Sweden launches partner program for increased implementation and customer benefit

Jonatan Tullberg, CEO of GS1 Sweden

GS1 Sweden is now initiating partnerships with technology suppliers, system developers and consulting companies. The aim is that customers using GS1 standards and services will be able to strengthen a more efficient, traceable and reliable information exchange. The Partner Program is a new business area focused on supporting cross-industry development through the implementation of GS1 standards.

Companies that buy and sell products are facing a clear shift. Data exchange in the value chain needs to be streamlined, digitized and standardized. This change is often driven by new regulations, increased industry requirements and technology transformation.

GS1 Sweden is now launching a partner program to meet customer needs. The program is aimed at companies that offer products, services or solutions that better enable the use of GS1 standards. The idea is to create a more efficient, transparent and reliable data exchange for the benefit of all parties in the value chain.

GS1 Sweden sees the initiative as a way to create cross-industry customer benefits and higher quality when implementing GS1 standards:

– There is now great potential to enable implementations for the benefit of more customers and industries. Together with our partners, we can create solutions that provide business benefits while driving digitization and standardization forward with a common business language as a basis, says Jonatan Tullberg, CEO of GS1 Sweden.

Sigma Technology Group first out

The first to join is Sigma Technology Group, which offers services in digitization and develops solutions in product information and digital product passports.

– We see the collaboration with GS1 Sweden as a strategic powerhouse. GS1 has in-depth knowledge of the standards and we have long practical experience of translating them into working solutions for digital product passports. For us, this is not just about compliance, but about building new ways of working and future-proofing businesses with reliable and standardized data as a basis, says Niklas Malmros, CEO of Sigma Technology Solutions Group.

As more companies and industries use solutions based on common standards, the effects will become clear,” adds Tullberg:

– We have seen the effects over time in sectors such as retail and healthcare, which have managed to achieve more efficient information management, data trust and higher levels of automation. With standardized solutions, these companies are also better equipped to handle new regulatory requirements and accelerate their work with AI. With the partner program, we want to give all our customers the opportunity to create concrete business value and scale up implementation together with our partners.
