The update includes improved support for carbon footprint information, activation of the ECHO data model, extended coverage for the building materials trade, and adjusted validation rules to ensure that the information is compliant with the applicable regulations.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-term-and-code-for-carbon-footprint\">New term and code for carbon footprint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To support the industry&#8217;s work on climate reporting, a new term is introduced to indicate whether the carbon calculation includes the packaging. In addition, a new code value is introduced that makes it possible to indicate the methodology used in the carbon calculation. The methodology is developed by Livsmedelsf\u00f6retagen (Li) and Svensk Dagligvaruhandel (SvDH).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T4427 Does carbon footprint include packaging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T4421 Cfp methodology code<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-term-for-product-lifetime\">New term for product lifetime<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A new term for indicating the average lifetime of a product, such as hours, is implemented to support, among other things, the EU Regulation 2023\/1542 on batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T4498 Average life<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-terms-linked-to-echo-data-model\">New terms linked to ECHO data model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECHO initiative aims to create a common data model within the GDSN, so that market strategies and data requirements are more consistent across countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The common model creates a uniform data format that contributes to better quality, safety and efficiency in healthcare. It allows medical device information to be shared in a consistent way between manufacturers, suppliers, hospitals and health systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is a collaboration between GS1 member organizations and various healthcare stakeholders and is used in several European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, with the possibility for more countries to join over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support the European ECHO data model, several new terms are introduced in the Swedish subset.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-terms-for-the-building-materials-trade\">New terms for the building materials trade  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/pressmeddelanden\/byggmaterialbranschen-framtidssakrar-sin-produktinformation-med-gs1-standarder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Byggmaterialhandlarna (BMH) has decided to leave its current trade item information standard Vilma and switch to the GS1 standard<\/a> for trade item information. The decision has been taken to meet increased demands for digitization, compliance and the need for structured data.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the transition and to cover information needs that currently exist in the Vilma standard, new terms, code values and validation rules will be added to the Swedish data model and implemented in 3.1.35. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-and-updated-validation-rules\">New and updated validation rules <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To strengthen data quality and ensure compliance with EU rules, new validation rules are introduced. These include rules to ensure that the necessary information is provided for contact details, customs class codes and fish traceability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1169-2011-and-gpsr\">1169\/2011 and GPSR  <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>New rules ensure mandatory contact information when the product is covered by EU Regulation 1169\/2011 on Food Information and EU Regulation 2023\/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-intrastat-customs-codes-amp-imports\">Intrastat, customs codes &amp; imports  <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rules are introduced around Customs classification type, code and harmonization of codes where the first 8-10 digits must match between Intrastat, Taric and Customs Tariff. This results in higher data quality and fewer discrepancies.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-echo-and-construction\">ECHO and construction  <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>New terms are introduced in the ECHO data model and in the trade of building materials, so that the global rules now also apply to the Swedish market.  <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-documentation\">Documentation <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swedish documentation is updated to GDSN 3.1.35 and is available at gs1.se under: <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/guides\/documentation\/#H2438\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Documentation &#8221;
