We are proud that our projects The Fiber Traceability Initiative<\/a> and ReValue<\/a> have been selected as leading examples in the new Nordic Circular Data Sharing Playbook<\/a>, developed by Nordic Innovation and Accenture.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The handbook has been developed within the framework of the Nordic Circular Accelerator, an initiative aimed at accelerating the circular transition in the Nordic region. The goal is to provide companies, regardless of industry or maturity level, with concrete tools and guidance on how data sharing can become a strategic driver for circularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many organizations see the potential in data sharing but lack the structure, insights, and examples to turn ideas into practical action. The purpose of this handbook is to close this gap and encourage cooperation among stakeholders throughout the value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creators of the handbook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nordic Innovation<\/a> is an organization under the Nordic Council of Ministers that works to strengthen innovation and sustainable competitiveness in the Nordic region. Accenture<\/a> is a global consulting firm with expertise in digitalization, strategy, and sustainable development, and in this context has contributed with analysis, methodology, and industry insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our contribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In The Fiber Traceability Initiative (FTI), we have, together with Axfoundation<\/a>, Filippa K<\/a>, and VirtualRouteZ<\/a>, developed a beta version of a digital traceability solution. In this case, we have focused on the wool value chain and achieved traceability from the sheep to the finished product in the store. The technical solution uses GS1 standards<\/a> to create a unified, competition-neutral, and global framework for product identification and labeling, ensuring interoperability between systems. The traceability solution is designed to be scalable and aligns with upcoming legislation on digital product passports<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the new project ReValue, we have, together with Axfoundation, Filippa K, and Accenture, taken a further step by exploring how digital product passports can enable new business models that make second-hand profitable. The project is based on a theoretical business model, and we are practically testing how extended clothing lifespan can become a profitable business for brands and the resale market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data sharing creates new opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The fact that our projects are highlighted in the handbook is a strong recognition of their relevance in the ongoing circular transition. FTI demonstrates how digital traceability can be implemented in practice to create tangible benefits along the value chain from raw material to finished product. ReValue takes the next step and shows how data can drive new, more sustainable business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope the experiences from these projects will inspire more companies to take the step toward data-driven circularity. For those willing to share data, new opportunities arise, such as meeting upcoming regulatory requirements, streamlining processes, and creating long-term value for both businesses and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
