Service overview <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/gs1-company-prefix\/\">GS1 Company Prefix<\/a> is GS1&#8217;s basic subscription for companies and organisations that want to create globally unique numbers to identify products, locations, pallets and shipments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-target-audience-and-users\">2. Target audience and users <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The service is aimed at companies and organisations that need to identify products, locations, parties and pallets in a supply chain. GS1 Company Prefix is used worldwide by brand owners, suppliers, distributors, e-commerce players in industries such as grocery, retail, construction and healthcare.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-service-content\">3. Service content <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The subscription includes the following features:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-administration-in-mygs1\">Administration in MyGS1  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage your company details, invoice details and users in <a href=\"https:\/\/my.gs1.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MyGS1<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possibility to order services like Directory and <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/validoo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Validoo<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customise settings for how you want to receive messages from MyGS1. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View the services your company has ordered and the terms of the contract. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View invoices and their status. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-generate-numbers\">Generate numbers <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use your GS1 Company Prefix to generate one or more <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/global-trade-item-number-gtin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GTINs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/global-location-number-gln\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GLNs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/serial-shipping-container-code-sscc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SSCCs <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/global-shipment-identification-number-gsin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GSINs <\/a>and export a list of your numbers to Excel. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allocate numbers to My products or My places to get an overview of generated numbers. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-brands\">My brands <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create and manage a list of your brands so you can easily select the right brand with consistent spelling when adding products in My products or in Validoo DataEntry (requires separate agreement). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-products\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/my-products\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My products<\/a> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Register and associate GTINs to your products with basic product information and image as well as register information about the products via API or Excel import. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage your registered products and get an overview of which GTINs have been used for which products and export one or more products to Excel.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-places\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/my-places\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My places<\/a> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Register and associate your GLNs with your locations and record information about the locations via API or Excel import.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage, correct or deactivate your registered locations and parties and keep the information up to date for effective communication with your stakeholders. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search your registered locations and parties and get an overview of each GLN&#8217;s location information and export one or more to Excel. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-link-management\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/link-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Link management<\/a> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create and manage links to additional information about your products such as promotions, traceability information, certifications and much more.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get a link to GS1 Sweden&#8217;s resolver, which makes it possible to refer to more than one source of information.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create links with different link types to direct users to information that is relevant to them.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Link to any number of information sources from a single barcode.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-verified-by-gs1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/verified-by-gs1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Verified by GS1<\/a> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verify and retrieve information on whether a GTIN is valid, which company owns a GTIN and basic information and image of the product associated with a GTIN.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify and retrieve information about a GLN, which company owns a GLN and access basic information linked to a GLN.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify and provide information on what links to further information about a product are available.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find out which GS1 Company Prefixes a company owns and other company information by searching on company name.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-edi-validation\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/edi-validation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EDI Validation<\/a> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Validate your EDI messages to ensure that they are structured according to ESAP20.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get error reports so you can easily correct errors in an EDI message.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-usage\">4. Usage <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are responsible for ensuring that your registered product information in<em>My products <\/em>is correct and complies with all laws, regulations and recommendations applicable to the respective industry in the countries you have indicated for sale, and that the product information and image correspond to your actual product. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you add trade items in <em>My products, <\/em>locations\/parties in <em>My locations <\/em>or links in <em>Link management<\/em>, they are automatically published in the global registry GRP (GS1 Global Registry Platform) and become searchable in Verified<a href=\"https:\/\/gs1.se\/en\/standards-and-services\/verified-by-gs1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> by GS1.<\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-prerequisites-for-using-the-service\">5 Prerequisites for using the service <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The service requires: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A subscription to GS1 Company Prefix and compliance with the terms and conditions. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-operation-and-support\">6. Operation and support <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Operation:<\/strong> The functions are normally available 24 hours a day, with some periods of planned outages for maintenance.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support:<\/strong> GS1 Sweden&#8217;s customer service is available by phone and e-mail on weekdays.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-annexes-and-related-links\">7.
