GS1 Company Prefix

A GS1 Company Prefix is used to create GS1 identifiers like GTIN, GLN and SSCC, which are needed to create barcodes for your products and packages. It also gives you access to MyGS1 where you can generate, save, and administer your numbers and make them searchable in Verified by GS1. With a GS1 Company Prefix, you get access to:

• all GS1 standards
• the possibility to use all GS1 services
• 1,000-100,000 numbers
• management of numbers, products, brands and locations in MyGS1
• share product and location/party information in Verified by GS1

Single number

Use the Single number subscription when you need to identify one product, one location/party, and several logistic units or shipments. With a Single number you get:

• 1 GTIN to identify a product
• 1 GLN to identify a location
• 100,000 SSCC to identify logistic units
• 10,000 GSIN to identify shipments
• support

Note! A single number can only be used for one GTIN, one GLN, and/or 100,000 SSCC and/or 10,000 GSIN. A single number cannot be used to create any of GS1’s other identifiers. If you need to identify more than one product or location or use any other GS1 identifier, you need to order a GS1 Company Prefix.

Product image Media Bank

Quality assurance of trade item information

Quality assurance of trade item information is a manual service where we check that your product’s trade item information matches the information on the physical packaging or on a digital product sample. Accurate product information ensures high quality of your product data and streamlines the business process for images, sales, inventory and logistics. For consumers, this means that the information about a product online matches the information on the actual product they are buying. The checks include:

• dimensions and weight
• accredited labels (for example KRAV, FSC, Vegan)
• storage temperature
• list of ingredients and nutritional values

Quality assurance – product images

Quality assurance of product images is our service to ensure that your product or planogram image complies with the industry’s established guidelines. When your image is quality assured, it is approved for use on e-commerce sites, flyers, shop signs, or as a planogram image. Among other things, it is checked that:

• the product on the image is correct
• the image meets image technical requirements
• visible information on the image (for example the brand) corresponds with the trade item inforamtion

BarcodeCheck

BarcodeCheck ensures that your barcodes can be read at all stages of the delivery flow. A functioning barcode is important for the smooth handling of goods and information during delivery to and from warehouses, making it easier for both checkout staff and consumers when scanning in-store. Barcodes for products, packaging and pallets can be checked with BarcodeCheck. BarcodeCheck includes:

How we charge annual subscription fees

The size of the annual subscription fee is based on your company’s annual turnover. The information is retrieved from Creditsafe in connection with annual invoicing, which means that the fee is usually based on reported annual turnover two years back. The year you become a customer, you pay a subscription fee for the current month and the remaining months of the year. At the beginning of the following year, you will be invoiced for the entire year.
