User Group Constructions purpose is to, through competitively neutral cooperation between parties in the construction industry regarding the application of GS1’s identities and standards, get efficient and quality assured information and product flows and thereby enable improvements throughout the life cycle of a building or construction work. If you work in the construction industry, or in the immediate vicinity of the industry, you are welcome to register your interest to participate.
Objective
- Determine an application of how all construction products can be identified by GTIN, how the products can be labeled and that the application developed is globally accepted.
- Carry out communication and training activities on these applications.
- Disseminate knowledge and information about the group’s work and applications.

Organization
In order to be more efficient, a coordination group has been set up to coordinate the work of the various sub-groups that may be needed at different times. Current subgroups are:

Requirements for participation in a GS1 Sweden user group:
- The participant must have a mandate from the company they represent to represent the company in the user group.
- Participants should be familiar with their own company’s processes and business systems and have knowledge of the company’s product and information flows. The participant should also have a position in the company that enables implementation of the recommendations made.
- The participant should be able to dedicate working time to the work of the user group, such as attendance at meetings and time to provide internal feedback. Active participation in meetings is required, as well as commitment to the issues being discussed.
